The site, owned by HIMOR Group, will create a high quality, mixed use, sustainable community, meeting business and residents’ needs and offers considerable investment and prime business location opportunities. With new infrastructure and close links to the M60 and M62, the sheer scale of Future Carrington offers a very rare investment and business proposition. The transformational vision for this area consists c800,000 sq.m of logistics/industrial development, 17,500 sq.m of high quality office space, up to11,500 residential units, along with open space and recreational uses.
Both the Future Carrington and Voltage Park sites offer exciting prospects for businesses looking to grow in Trafford, offering large scale development opportunities with excellent access to the motorway network and close proximity to the Manchester City Centre and Manchester International Airport.
An outline planning application for Phase 1 (Carrington Village) was approved by the Council in April 2017. The Carrington Village scheme which is due to start on site by 2019 will comprise up to 725 dwellings, 90,000 sq.m employment floor-space, a new village centre and new public open space. A masterplan for later phases of Future Carrington is currently being prepared alongside the emerging Greater Manchester Spatial Framework.
